Lennän taas, olen juppihippipunkkari ja vaihdan paikkaa.
Lennän taas, turha meikäläistä yrittääkään kategoriin laittaa.
Hei mä lennän taas.
Vaikka lensinkin toiselle puolelle maapalloa, olen silti vielä EU:n alueella ja valuuttana on euro. Martiniquella puhutaan ranskaa, onhan alue ollut viimeksi Ranskan alusmaa. Nimensä saari sai Kolumbukselta ja tunnetuin vientituote taitaa olla rommi. Martinique on ollut myös Britannian alaisuudessa ja sieltä tulee kuulemma lainkuuliaisuus ja bohemisuus tulee Ranskasta. Elämä täällä vaikuttaa leppoisalta; kenelläkään ei näytä olevan kiire minnekään ja marketissakin kassoilla on aikaa vaihtaa kuulumisia asiakkaiden kanssa, vaikka jono takana kasvaisikin.
Seuraavien viikkojen aikana kotinani tulee olemaan yksi kolmesta veneestä: M/S Shalom, M/S Joshua tai M/S Goma Rota. Suurista suuntaviivoista vastaa ruotsalainen Claes ja hänen oikeana kätenään toimii M/S Shalomin kapteeni Silvia. Molemmille purjehtiminen on pitkäaikainen elämäntapa ja Karibia saarineen on heille tuttu. Yhteensä veneisiin mahtuu nukkumaan 18 henkilöä. Tällä hetkellä meitä on 12 ja ylihuomenna saadaan vielä vahvistusta yhdestä henkilöstä. Matkustajat toimivat myös miehistönä ja periaate on että kaikki tekevät kaikkea. Mitään ei tarvitse ennakkoon osata, täällä kyllä neuvotaan mitä pitää tehdä. Porukkaa on monesta maasta: Hollannista, Ranskasta, Kanadasta, Saksasta, Espanjasta, Ruotsista, Suomesta... Kaikkien nimiä ja kansalaisuuksia en vielä muista. Laivakoirakin meillä on, Chewie, espanjalainen löytökoira, joka tottelee ruotsinkielisiä käskyjä.
Satamassa netti toimii hyvin, mutta siitä huolimatta en onnistunut lataamaan kuvia tähän päivitykseen. Toivottavasti lataaminen onnistuu seuraavalla kerralla. Maisemat ovat sen verran kauniita, että mielelläni jakaisin ne kansanne.

Even I flied to the other side of the world, I'm still in EU area. The currency is also euro. Here in Martinique they speak French, after all Martinique is colonised by France for hundreds of years. Martinique got the name from Columbus and the best known export product is probably rum. Martinique has been coloniced also by Brittish and they say that the obedience comes from Brittish and bohemian life style comes from French. The life seems to be very easy going here. Nobody is in a hurry and the cashier in a market has time to talk to clients, no matter how long the line is.
Next few weeks my home is going to be one of these boats: M/S Shalom, M/S Joshua or M/S Goma Rota. The main boss is Swedish Claes and his right hand is Spanish girl Silvia, the captain of M/S Shalom. Sailing is a style of life for both of them and they know Carribean and all the islands very well. All together there can be 18 people in these three boats. At the moment there is 12 of us and day after tomorrow there will be one more passanger. All the passangers are the crew at the same time and everyone does everythng. You don't have to have any skills, our captains will teach us all that is needed. There are people on board from many countries; Holland, Germany, Canada, France, Spain, Sweden, Finland... I don't remember all the names yet. We also have a dog on board, Chewie. He is a Spanish rescue dog, who follows Swedish orders.
There is a good internet connection in a harbou. Unfortunatelly I couldn't load photos to this update. I hope to manage it next time, the landscape here is really beautiful.
